We would like to thank you for supporting the 2018 Cure Cystic Fibrosis Gala Dinner.

We are very excited to announce that we made a profit of $86,000, of which every cent will go to the Cure4CF Foundation to support research for a Cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

We are a 100% volunteer, unpaid committee, all with a connection to Cystic Fibrosis. We keep our costs to a minimum, we don’t work from an office, we personally absorb many costs along the way and we pay full price for our own Gala Dinner tickets! We are passionate about raising as much money and awareness for a Cure as is possible.

Research is the key to our hope for a future without Cystic Fibrosis, where CF stands for Cure Found.

You can be assured that any money raised on the night will go to research.

We are very grateful to all the sponsors and businesses that donated goods and services and particularly the guests that supported this event, some for the third year in a row.

Any feedback, positive or negative is very welcome by emailing cfgeelong@gmail.com.

We hope that you enjoyed the night and that you will join us again in 2019.

Our AGM is on Thursday 29th June at 7pm at The Grovedale Hotel.

Please RSVP by Monday 26th June to cfgeelong@gmail.com

This event aims to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and 100% of funds raised is donated to CURE4CF Foundation to support the ground breaking research being carried out by the Adelaide CF Gene Therapy Program.

Jesse Kingsbury has come on board. He is a Myotherapist and has learned about CF, is being mentored by Brenda Button from the Alfred.

The benefits of massage for those with CF has been widely accepted however no formal studies have been done for this.

Benefits include release of muscle tension around the neck, shoulders and back and thoracic area caused by coughing. This leads to better posture, increased ability to exersize and can prevent the hunched back posture that older people with CF are known for.

I hope you can take advantage of this service.

Jesse has proposed to do some research studies as part of this service. Please find attached his flyer and a reimbursement form.
